Excel Server on MIS kehittyi alustan sekä käyttämällä alustaa, joka on perusta Excel ja tietokantaan. Excel Server integroi MS Excel ja MS SQL Server tulee verkkopohjainen Enterprise Information Platform, johon liiketoimintaprosessit voidaan toteuttaa ja ottaa käyttöön helposti liiketoimintalähtöistä ja "DIY" tavalla.
