How to install your Video Drivers!

If you reinstall Windows 2000 on your hard drive you need to install the S3 Savage IX Video drivers.

Follow the steps below to install the S3 Video drivers.

1. From the Taskbar click 'Start', 'Settings' and 'Control Panel'.

   

2. Double click the 'System' icon.
    
3. The 'System Properties' Screen will appear. Click the 'Hardware' tab
   Click the 'Device Manager' button

   
    

4. Select 'Video Controller(VGA Compatible)
   .
    
5. The 'Video Controller (VGA Compatible) Properties' Screen will appear. Click the 'Reinstall Driver...' button. The Update Device Driver Wizard window appears.
   
    
6. Select 'Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver'.
   Click the Next button.
   
     
7. Select Display adapters and click the 'Next' button.
   
   
   
8. The 'Upgrade Device Driver Wizard' Screen will appear. Select 'Have Disk' button. Click the 'Browse...' button and locate driver you want to install
    
    
9. Select 'S3 Inc. Savage/IX Display Driver' in Upgrade Device Driver Wizard screen and click 'Next' button. 
   
    
   
10. After Driver installation is completed. Restart your computer.
