Purpose
This tool is designed for
- Who want to transfer their file in HTML format to share their Excel files with those who doesn't have a MS Excel or Excel Viewer
- Who want exact HTML files' appearance as their original Excel files
- Who want smaller size than Excel genrated HTML file
- Who want concised HTML code to edit in HTML editor
- Who want their Excel files can be viewed online.
- Who want more elegant tables of data.
This tool doesn't fit for
- Who want the HTML files is 100% the same as original Excel file.
- Though we can assure that 90% or even 100% of the appearance can be remained as original Excel generated HTML, but MS Excel could not export HTML 100% exactly as original Excel file. Dynamic contents and calculating function could not be implemented in HTML.
Effect and Result
After testing on hundreds of Excel generated HTML files, here's the data
- Most files' size can be reduced from 30% - 50% (that means 50% - 70% remains) while 90%+ appearance remains.
- Most files' appearance can be preserved 100% in Light scheme, and 90%+ in Medium scheme.
- Unfiltered HTML file size will be reduced more notably(40%-70%), because it contains much more garbages.
- Extreme scheme can reduce file size mostly (50-70%), but appearance was also lost considerably(30%-60%).
Altogether, the effect depends on different HTML file and different scheme.
