Klondike is the original solitaire game for Macintosh, first released in 1984. Read the History of Klondike for a narrative from its beginnings to the current version. The Version History details the significant changes in each version of Klondike.
Version 11 has been completely rewritten in Objective-C using Cocoa, the modern Macintosh programming model. The previous 10.4 release was based on the original 1984 version, written in Pascal and modernized using Apple's Carbon technology which has since been deprecated. The first time you run the Cocoa version of Klondike, it will import all the settings you have been using in earlier versions. It will also import your score history, but that will lack a few details which were not stored by the older version, such as game elapsed times.
iKlondike is a version available from the Mac App Store, while iKlondike Solitaire is the same game for iOS devices, available on the iOS App Store.

These pages explain the rules which Klondike applies to each version of Solitaire:
Scoring describes how Klondike keeps score for each version, while Registering Klondike explains how you can register Klondike, which will stop Klondike from requiring your response to dismiss the initial window announcing Klondike's version.
