A simple Notifier for Gmail, with multiple Google Accounts support. (formerly Gmail Notifr)
Mail Notifr 2.0 added support for Google OAuth.
To allow access to your messages, make sure to select "View your email message and settings." on Sign in with Google page.

Mail Notifr 2.0 and above use Google OAuth 2.0 to access your unread messages. It doesn't ask or save your Gmail password.
How to customize Notification:
In macOS System Preferences - Notifications, select 'Mail Notifr' from the left 'In Notification Center' list and adjust settings.
How to configure Mailto handler:
In Mail.app - Preferences - General, select 'Mail Notifir.app' from 'Default email reader'.

good little utility
Works good enough. I would love for two improvements:
1. Have the icon in the menu bar change color when an unread email is in inbox.
2. Hide the window that is in the dock. This app should not take up dock space.
Fills a specific need no other app can
This app simply doesn't get enough love! It is the ONLY app I've found that sits in the menu bar and keeps me notified when any of my six Google/Gmail accounts have new email. A couple other apps say they'll do this, but they all fail.
Also, this is the only one of similar apps that has been updated recently. The others haven't been touched by the developer in 2-9 years!
With this app, it's so easy to see you have new email and click on that Gmail account, opening your default browser. Nothing fancy but just a really great little utility that does exactly what it's supposed to do. I don't why the low ratings...unless users are expecting something more than what the app is supposed to do. My thanks to the developer!
Best notifications app for Gmail
After all these years this is still the best notifications app for Gmail on the Mac. Version 2 keeps it alive for many more years. Thank you.
